This Saturday a group of students visited hypermarket Art Mart located in Prospekt shopping mall to learn the secrets of a seller's profession. As a result, they not only learned more about sellers, artists, creativity, colors, but also gave the first interviews in their lives. They also experienced what it means to help customers, to choose the necessary goods and to know everything when a lot of information is still unknown to you.
“A seller is an exciting profession. A seller should be a little bit of a psychologist, a little bit of an animator, and also an encyclopedia, or at least a catalog of products presented. In Art Mart hypermarket we work with two types of buyers - professionals who know exactly what they want and with those for whom art is a hobby. And we find a convenient form of communication for each of them. We are glad to welcome the students who are interested in different aspects of profession.
A tour around the store not only demonstrates a world of paint, pencils and creative sets, it reveals an entirely different world satisfying creative imagination of creative personalities,” Olha Plotnikova, director of Art Mart store, said during her presentation.
Ania Zabrotska, a pupil of 9th grade, likes to draw in her spare time. That’s why she came to Art Mart to learn more about paints, brushes and pencils. “I like to paint images of people wearing fashionable clothes with pencils and paints. It is autumn now, but I can draw people wearing winter and spring clothes. In the future I want to become a prosecutor.”
Oleksandr Oksyuta, a pupil of 9th grade, prefers to paint with ordinary pencils, “I like to draw famous characters from cartoons and movies. Sometimes I create my own characters, similar to Batman, Superman or Iron Man. I dream to become a chef in a cool restaurant and to cook delicious dishes.”
Ania Homeniuk, a pupil of 9th grade, likes embroidery: “Now I bead an icon and make figures of polymer clay. In Art Mart I was amazed by different shades and colors. I dream to become a make-up artist in a beauty salon.”
Stas Rohulia likes to play football, “I want to become a MMA-fighter, fighting without rules. The most important thing for me is my family. In Art Mart, I was amazed by various pens - you can choose one and write in notebooks in blue, but in different ways.”
Marharyta Marchenko, a 6th grade pupil, likes to draw clothes and flowers, “I like to create various postcards and to paint them. I also like to draw dresses, flowers and smilies. I dream to become a fashion designer. In Art Mart, I would buy a decorative scotch and a basket.”
Julia Obukhivska, a 5th grade pupil, dreams to become a singer: “I really like to draw portraits from nature and ponies - like in a cartoon. In Art Mart I liked the children giving interviews - I watched them worried, searched for thoughts and expressed their opinions.”
Artem Oksiuta, a 4th grade pupil, draws in graphite pencil, “Deadpool, Darth Vader - I already have their drawings. I save them and paint again and again. I also have a lot of painted cars. I often think what I would like to draw tomorrow or the day after tomorrow. I dream to become a racer, and in Art Mart, I would buy myself kinetic sand.”
History teacher Maria Marchenko, who offered her students a Saturday project with a complicated name “Professional orientation”, says, “It is important for children to understand all the details of modern professions they should know how adults live, what their working days look like and what challenges they meet. This sets the students to serious consideration and helps to make the right choice. To make the right choice means to do something all day long without getting tired, even if you do it every day.”
Olena Obukhivska, PR manager of Prospekt shopping mall added, “Being a party which invites students to the shopping mall, we wanted to bring them different emotions. Firstly, it was a tour around Art Mart - the most creative store. Secondly, all the participants told in their interviews what they dream to become and what they do at their leisure. The funniest task was to help buyers to choose what they liked. Our schoolchildren accepted this task literally and really talked to the customers.
They were not afraid and did not hesitate. Perhaps, this is the main peculiarity of a new generation – to look forward, to feel everything to the fullest extent.”
Oleh Lytvynskyi, Art Director of Prospekt shopping mall, “This event is special for us, it was offered by teachers and by schoolchildren and Art Mart supported the idea. It means that a shopping mall is a place connecting ideas and giving new knowledge to develop and to receive new emotions.”
