Donating blood, giving a house to special cats, changing the purchasing behavior of three generations at once, speaking and being silent with the military men, teaching children to defend borders, infecting the country with plogging, changing the eco-habits of the whole city and teaching other cities about it. On the Weekend’s birthday the heroines of our materials have gathered at the Prospekt shopping mall to talk about how they are changing the world for the better with small steps and their own example. Alina Shubska tells how she motivates to help cats:
«When I became the owner of two half-blind cats, I realized what a huge problem we have with homeless animals, how they suffer on the streets. I got a platform on Weekend to carry information about animals with disabilities, about animals in shelters. After such publications, many people who read them, started taking such animals home, helping shelters and volunteers. My cat Popeye has an Instagram page, he has a lot of subscribers. This makes it possible to show: all animals need love. And those who survived betrayal and loneliness are especially in need of love. They need a house.»
