Stories about humanity from the heroines of the Weekend’s materials in the Prospekt shopping mall.
On their third birthday, “Weekend” in Prospekt shopping mall decided to tell stories about kindness and convey the idea that humanity is an asset of Ukrainians. In Prospekt shopping mall they gathered to talk about how to change the world for the better in small steps and by their own example.
How Anna Nosach teaches safety to children and their parents:
«I have been working with children from five to fifteen years old for four years. I notice that parents are worried about their children safety by bringing them to all kinds of trainings. And when children get older, adults miss many important nuances.
I constantly have to repeat that children are not stolen so often. More often, they’re leaving homes by themselves. The main advice for adults who care about child safety is to build trustful relationships with children. Then the child will not be afraid to talk about his troubles: someone is pestering on the street or offends on the Internet.
Often parents want to bring their child to training, where he would be taught safety rules, but at the same time they forget to work on the home issue. Trainings are great, but remember that it is the parents who do the main work. Why is it still important to go through the actual development of such situations in practice? All children know that you cannot go anywhere with strangers, but are lost in real situations. At the training, they will feel this moment through the body: when you said no, screamed, ran away, this set of actions becomes familiar. And then you can apply it in a real situation if necessary. So, to the parents’ note: try not only to say such things, but also play them, rehearse with the children.» Read more stories about how to change the world on the Prospekt shopping mall website.
