Visitors of Prospekt shopping mall tell about the ways they warm themselves
Are rolled up trousers and bare ankles still in fashion? Do we need a hat to feel warm or to make our moms calm? Why suede shoes are intended for princesses only? Is a dark jacket a necessity or a way not to stand out? Do itchy sweaters have a right to exist? The Weekend asked visitors of Prospekt shopping mall about the rules of their winter wardrobe.
Probably, some people like to flutter through winter like princesses in suede shoes, but Liuba prefers comfort. The girl is not going to merge with a dark crowd, that’s why she chooses bright colors for her winter wardrobe.
“The most important qualities of winter clothes for me are brightness and warmness. It seems to me that people in Kyiv are so eager to buy dark things for winter, because they consider this color more comfortable, besides, it can be combined well with clothes of other colors. The rest of people follow them and buy dark clothes: not to stand out.
Considering dirt and slush of modern Kyiv winters, one should understand that though suede is very beautiful and stylish, in winter it is better to avoid suede shoes, unless you have a car from which you will fly like a princess in thin suede shoes. My winter shoes, first of all, should be comfortable, water-proof, easy to wash and require minimum of additional care.
I like scarves and when it is frosty I wear a hat. I have problem, which, I think, many girls face: because of my short haircut, it is rather difficult to choose the right model of a hat.”
