Cute socks, funny tie or heavy boots - what do modern lovers present each other? Do girlfriends always know tastes of each other and does the older generation make mistakes by making young people presents? Weekend has listened to six stories of visitors of Prospekt shopping mall and found out whether it is good idea to present clothes, linen and shoes to your loved ones.
Lisa studies abroad, in Germany, she is a future philologist and a book critic, and she arrived in Kyiv for the holidays. She often presents people different things – these can be usual socks or non-banal bow tie. At the same time, the girl is happy to accept such gifts.
- I present clothes to other people; however, a lot depends on those for whom these presents are intended. Usually, these are my close ones, people I know well, and often I can guess what will suit them. I can present to a man a shirt or polo or buy a dress to a woman; I never present shoes, only accessories - scarves, bags, hats. One of the recent presents I made to a guy was a bow tie and socks, the girl laughs. - I am glad when I’m presented things. Most often, I get presents from my relatives – mother and aunt - they know my tastes and choose what suits me. That’s why I always wear their gifts with pleasure.
