Special photos from Instagram - flat-lays - are called still-lives of the 21st century. At the master class of instabloger Alina Chubar at Prospekt shopping mall, Weekend tried to understand what layout is, why we need a grid in a camera, how accessories and backgrounds for holiday photos can be collected and which stores may become real décor Klondikes for flat-lay beginners.
Liza tells about hobbies:
“I am interested in scrapbooking and I need beautiful photos in order to make my works look brighter. I already knew some issues that were discussed during the master class: about the light and photos on a windowsill. I learned more about the photo editors, this is the information that I missed. I really liked the process: to lay out different items and to take pictures. The fact that there was a lot of decor encourages creating, to invent something new and to make interesting combinations. Everything was really cool, and this knowledge will be useful to anyone.”
The ninth rule by Alina Chubar: «do not be afraid to add dynamics to your photos»
«I add dynamics using fabrics. Laid out items may be interesting, if the photo is supplemented with fabrics. This is not only painted gauzy fabric cuts, pieces of canvas, burlap, coarse flax. I use even sweaters and skirts, coats of interesting colors. Use tapes in your compositions. Garlands bring dynamics to New Year flat lays. In general, everything that you have at home may be used.»
The last rule for creating flatlays by Alina Chubar is in the next news of Prospekt.
