Special photos from Instagram - flat-lays - are called still-lives of the 21st century. At the master class of instabloger Alina Chubar at Prospekt shopping mall, Weekend tried to understand what layout is, why we need a grid in a camera, how accessories and backgrounds for holiday photos can be collected and which stores may become real décor Klondikes for flat-lay beginners.
Alina Chubar told how to make a layout:
«First of all, choose a background. Do you want your page to look darker or lighter? For example, I use the fabric.
Then I build a layout. I always advise to start with large items. Take the largest item you want to show. It can be a book, a cup and saucer, a plate. Based on the position of this object we intuitively arrange the rest of decor elements.
To avoid a lot of "visual garbage" in the picture, try not to use a lot of small elements. The photo with a large number of small things will not be “read”. Leave free space, giving a viewer an opportunity to look at the composition.»
