Special photos from Instagram - flat-lays - are called still-lives of the 21st century. At the master class of instabloger Alina Chubar at Prospekt shopping mall, Weekend tried to understand what  layout is, why we need a grid in a camera, how accessories and backgrounds for holiday photos can be collected and which stores may become real décor Klondikes for flat-lay beginners.
Alina Chubar told about the creation of flat-lay:
«Let's try to create a New Year's flat-lay.
I use a flax cut bought on sale to add the dynamics.
At my grandmother's cottage, I cut fresh fir branches.
I am a fan of dishes, I like plates, so they will become the basis of my compositions.
Be careful not to clog the layout. Add items step by step. Keep in mind that the picture in front of you will look in a different way on the photo.
Medium-sized items are white star candle holders. A few cones will come in handy, too. Do not place objects parallel to each other, create some dynamics. Envelopes and cards always look beautiful on a flat-lay. They create a mood of a snapshot.
For the moment my composition is quite monochrome, I add some color and shine to it. The autonomous fairy lights from Jysk on batteries will perfectly help with this task. They may be used even for pictures outside home.
Since this is a festive New Year photo, it does not require rigor and minimalism. Let's use more small accessories. I'll add several spoons which blend in with a color scheme and the overall theme of the composition.»
