Special photos from Instagram - flat-lays - are called still-lives of the 21st century. At the master class of instabloger Alina Chubar at Prospekt shopping mall, Weekend tried to understand what layout is, why we need a grid in a camera, how accessories and backgrounds for holiday photos can be collected and which stores may become real décor Klondikes for flat-lay beginners.
Dasha shares her impressions from the master class:
“I am a photographer, I like beautiful pictures and a combination of taste and atmosphere in a shot. This master class helped me to understand how details influence the content of the picture. I am very interested in flat-lays, but here I understood how important details are by creating compositions. I’l try to create my own flat-lay at home. First of all, I will buy a garland, candles and various Christmas and New Year decorations in retro style.”
The second rule by Alina: “think over your composition”
Some people think that flat-lays are messy scattered objects that are beautifully photographed. This is not the case; the composition should be lined up.
Other rules for creating a flat-lay read in the following news TRC Prospectus.
