New Year's InstaFoto: rules, secrets and life hacks. Master class in Prospekt
12-12-2018

Special photos from Instagram - flat-lays - are called still-lives of the 21st century. At the master class of instabloger Alina Chubar at Prospekt shopping mall, Weekend tried to understand what  layout is, why we need a grid in a camera, how accessories and backgrounds for holiday photos can be collected and which stores may become real décor Klondikes for flat-lay beginners.
Alina creates advent calendar for daughter:
“I want to photograph New Year's letters for my daughter’s Alice advent calendar. She is two years old. I think she will like this idea. Besides, a lot of moms read me. I want to show them how to implement their ideas. I didn’t know how to make such beautiful photos, that’s why I came to this useful workshop. My calendar will include various small gifts for each of December days till the New Year. I think my daughter will remember it and this waiting will make her holiday unforgettable. In addition to gifts, Alice will receive a letter from a winter magician every day.
It was not easy to decide how to photograph these letters brightly and unusually in order to show them to the moms reading my blog. The master-class helped me to manage this task.”
The third rule for flat-lay creation is: “use the rule of thirds”
Do you have a grid function on your phone? It shows the intersection of vertical and horizontal lines, on which a look is usually focused. If you need to focus on a particular object on the picture, it is enough to place it on such intersection. A viewer will automatically focus his/her look on this subject.
Other rules for creating a flat-lay read in the following news of shopping mall Prospekt.
