Recently Prospekt shopping mall together with the “Yedinstvennaia” held an inspiring meeting of guests of the shopping mall with psychologist Volodymyr Naumenko.
Let us introduce Volodymyr Naumenko is a professional psychologist, moderator of the “PoLOVEinki” show on the New Channel, a fan of his work and a man who knows exactly how to make a life of a girl better.
In Prospect shopping mall Volodymyr held personal consultations for all interested guests of the shopping mall which were really inspiring! After the consultations, we talked to Volodymyr.
- Volodymyr, how long have you been practicing? Where did you get your education and why do you like your profession?
- I have been practicing for more than 8 years, I studied abroad, and I keep on studying all the time. In February, I’ll start a new course of training, and this time it will be a university outside Ukraine again. I like my job because for a long time I have been searching for, combining, watching, thinking, trying, and as a result, I’ve chosen a profession that I really like. Therefore, my profession is my life. I work seven days a week, and do not get tired of my work at all.
- Is “Women Make the World Go Round” your first book? (on my own behalf - I have already read this book, have written out the most essential and even have changed)
Yes, this is my first book about psychology. Earlier I wrote a book about business together with my colleague.
I have been working on my book “Women Make the World Go Round” for many years, because I really wanted to share my knowledge and experience that I gained during the years of study and practice. I hope I managed to do it.
Volodymyr Naumenko
By the way, “Women Make the World Go Round” is not my last book. Now, together with my colleague, I am working at a book dedicated to self-esteem and at a couple of more projects, about which I will tell you a bit later.
ON THE SUBJECT: How to become a unique girl and to fall in love with life: Volodymyr Naumenko gives advice.
- What in your opinion are the most frequently asked questions? Is it possible to arrange them in a socio-trend?
Of course, I can highlight the top 5 questions and problems that trouble my clients. The first one is a low self-esteem.
Then, various traps where girls have already got. They are a relationship trap, a learning trap, a finance trap. What do I mean by trap? The stereotypes and patterns that girls got in their childhood (at school, family, university, and so on). As a result, the girl can’t think the way she needs, but uses generally accepted stereotypes.
Another problem is relationships. We can see a lot of examples of unhealthy relationships. Yes, I have my own concept of healthy relationships.
Remember, healthy relationships are relationships which make you feel comfortable with yourself and comfortable with your partner. Your partner should feel the same way - he feels good with himself and with you.
Another actual problem is manipulation. In particular, countering manipulation. I help girls to realize what manipulation is and how they shall counteract it. I never teach to manipulate other people- this is my principal position.
Another aspect is a postponement of a person’s life for later (procrastination). I also want to mention the issues related to achieving of goals and compromises. I’d like to say an important thing related to compromises: many of us want to be comfortable and good for everyone. But in fact, this does not happen, because trying to be comfortable to other people, we go against ourselves.
- What do you think parents should teach their children from childhood?
- I can’t help remembering Montessori, who said, “You don’t need to up bring your children, educate yourself!” I want to recommend some excellent specialists in this field, from whom I study and whom I actively follow. The first is Dima Zitser. His book “Love Don’t Educate,” is a masterpiece. Dima is sure that the word “educate” cannot be used in relation to children. Children need help to develop, to learn to perceive the world, but they do not need to be educated.
Volodymyr Naumenko
Very often, parents shift their failures and unrealized dreams to their children and this is wrong. Let's be honest, many people can say that the choice of a profession and even of a partner is not their choice, but the choice of their parents. As a result, these people have problems we talked about in the previous question.
The second author is Lyudmila Petranovska. As for me, these two specialists have a very correct position on this issue.
- What are your 5 top tips for women to feel successful and confident?
Answering this question, I will refer to my own author's method “Volodymyr Naumenko’s Method” which consists of five steps:
Stop it. Stop being comfortable for everyone except yourself. Stop using patterns, don’t live with the past and don’t communicate with toxic people.
Try. Try to do what you want. Live here and now. Choose friends, vacation, adventures.
Feel pleased. Praise yourself, admire yourself, say “no” with pleasure, work with pleasure, make love with pleasure.
Develop. Learn from the best, work with the best, learn to be healthy, to be on the right wave, learn not to stop in your development.
Your rules. Ask yourself “why”, do not build any barriers and restrictions and realize that your time is a very important value. Write your rules you will follow. If you do not have your own rules, you will live according to someone else’s standards.
- Please describe your feelings - how did you feel cooperating with Prospekt shopping mall: what was the atmosphere, the customers ... What conclusion can you make - fast-consultation or psycho-shop-therapy?
Volodymyr Naumenko
First I met Prospekt shopping mall in 20016, when we filmed the second season of the reality series “PoLOVEinki” for the New Channel. I hold one of the “sessions” on the ground floor and then on the roof of the building. So, during half-day of filming, I studied Prospect shopping mall very well and I really liked it - a modern and spacious building. When you get there for the first time, after 10-15 minutes you feel that everything is familiar to you. You don’t feel this way in other shopping malls.
TO THE SUBJECT: What on a man’s mind: the revelations of Volodymyr Naumenko
I traveled a lot and lived abroad, so I have experience and can compare (I lived in Hong Kong, the UAE, Brazil, Kazakhstan and EU countries).
Regarding our event, it was a mix-format, because some people needed just a small tip, others - psycho-shop therapy. During the event a 10 years old boy who came to Prospekt shopping mall by himself, without parents, asked me for advice. He was going through a very difficult situation – his mom and dad have divorced, and it was a painful experience for him. You can imagine how hard it was for him. He was one of the most “serious” clients for the whole day and I tried my best to help him.
- What would you like to wish the visitors of Prospekt shopping mall?
- Spend more money and enjoy doing it, enjoy buying clothes and other goods, sitting in a cafe or walking with children. This is what I call “Euphoria-therapy” - to have fun here and now.
- I know the answer to this question from your book, but I’ll ask it, anyway. It is about men: what a woman need to know about a man?
- I dedicated a whole chapter related to this subject in my book. What did I include into this chapter? It is important to know what features men like and what they do not. It is also important to understand that men have their own secrets and it's ok when he doesn't tell you something.
Volodymyr Naumenko
It is also extremely important to know how to motivate a man. In addition, it is important to understand how to behave during conflicts using women's cunning, instead of going into a frontal attack.
- What about you? Do you like shopping? Where do you look for inspiration to communicate with your clients?
I really like shopping! Earlier I was mad about it, now I take it easier. By the way, there is a study that proves that shopping is a great chance to reload. Even when you just visit a supermarket to buy sprats, wine or mayonnaise - you look around, watching something, and as a result, you reload yourself.
As for the inspiration, I am inspired with what I do. I really enjoy being in the process of non-stop learning. Besides, I’m inspired by my beloved person - my spouse. She really helps me to develop as quickly as I do.
I am also inspired by interesting projects - for example, “PoLOVEinki”. I was invited to this show by chance - I flew from Kazakhstan to Moldova, and accidentally met Natalia Kholodenko. It was a fateful meeting.
