Where is the golden mean, who sometimes needs to take off the crown and how does the attitude change when you work a bit as a shop assistant? Weekend asked visitors of Prospekt shopping mall about ideal shop assistants and imperfect buyers.

Kateryna works as a stylist of a foreign brand, she is able to quickly assess the diligence of the shop assistant and she does everything so that her clients returned to her again and again. 

— I like it when the shop assistant can carefully recommend a fashionable look, but I don’t like it when they impose something on me. I work in this sphere as a stylist of a Dutch brand. I notice that the shop assistants do not work well in the capital’s shops: they cannot advise suitable things, they do not have complete information about the goods they sell. 

Once I found the golf I needed on a brand web-site. I came to buy it in the shop, and the shop assistant says: “We don’t have such thing”. I walked around the shop and found that thing, which I came for. Another time, I asked for a certain thing with prints at the shop. The girl said that such goods had not yet been received by them, but she correctly proposed an interesting alternative. It was quite pleasant. 

Knowledge of goods, tolerance and politeness must first be inherent in the shop assistant. Therefore, when buyers find a suitable shop and a competent shop assistant, they prefer to continue buying there only. I already have many clients earned over the years. I don’t need them buying goods for tens of thousands, as long as they come back to me again.
