"Cyclical Nature of Fashion" exhibition in Prospekt shopping mall

On June 25, the Prospekt shopping mall opens an exhibition dedicated to the cyclical nature of fashion and the continuity of family style. The exhibition presents photos sent by visitors and subscribers of Prospekt shopping mall, dated from the 60s to the 90s of the twentieth century. 

What you can see in the photos
By looking at the photo, people usually search similarities of people who look like someone, are interested in the fate of these people and their family ties. In Prospekt shopping mall we offered all of these, but with new accents to look at the photo through the prism of fashion and find intersections with modernity. 

New is (not) forgotten old
Another idea of the project "Cyclical Nature of Fashion" is to draw attention to family values, in order to not forget about family continuity, which is manifested in many aspects. And, by the way, to trace this continuity. Participants who sent photos for the project shared their memories. 

Systemization of styles 
Photographs submitted for the project "Cyclical Nature of Fashion" in Prospekt shopping mall demonstrate by touches or allusions that much of what was in fashion then, is true today. It is easy to track in Facebook using hashtag #циклічність_моди_проспект. More than 50 posts about the outfits worn by our parents in their youth, as well as grandmothers, grandparents and relatives, and partial or complete similarities of the outfits presented in the spring-summer 2019 collections from Reserved, Conte, Colin's, VOVK, Cropp, Sinsey and other international and Ukrainian fashion brands. A total of 8 exhibition stands with successive adjacent styles found a style for a family photo in the new lines.  
"Initially, the idea of the project was not just to look into the family albums of twenty and thirty years ago, but to find Parallels with fashion today, to analyze the continuity of style. But with the development of the project, we found many others, including personal insights, and even got interesting ideas for new marketing activities in the shopping mall", - said Natalia Dmytrenko, Marketing Director of Arricano.
"In this project, we noticed the controversial lines. For example, the desire to be like their idols and at the same time remain themselves, in their individual image. And fashion – it is really cyclical. Its waves cover one decade after another, absorbing elements of new styles. At the same time, much remains unchanged. For example, a black dress or business suit, which must be in the wardrobe of a woman, both then and today. It is easy to track this on the photos", says Olena Obukhivska, Communications Manager of Arricano.  
The exhibition "Cyclical Nature of Fashion" in Prospekt shopping mall will last for two weeks. In order to record developments and fashion-continuity of generations, guests will enjoy the photographs and mannequins in contemporary, on-trend outfits from the shops. And it is possible to fix the emotions which have arisen during viewing an exhibition on a special photo-zone on which it is possible to become a hero of a cover of the project's media-partner "Yedinstvennaya". 
The project "Cyclical Nature of Fashion" is about the personal. After all, everyone can look through your family photo album, understand or remember what the main value was in the childhood. And how much it is caught up in adulthood. And perhaps, something is worth reconsidering in order to not to lose.
