Notary Kateryna Rublova became a participant of the exhibition Fashion & Profession in Prospekt shopping mall and spoke about the relationship between law and rock climbing.  

"Even when I was in school, I realized that I like to work with formulations, analyze sentences, and generally study the humanities. Therefore, it seemed logical to choose law for further self-realization. Of course, I had a vague idea about the advocacy: pretentious speeches, unexpected turns at court sessions, and the fate of people is decided by wording from a few words. The reality turned out to be more prosaic, but no less interesting. 

During my time as a lawyer, I changed my direction: I moved from a lawyer to a notary. I am faced with the fact that many people, unfortunately, do not understand the essence of notarial activity, do not know how serious processes are accompanied by a notary. They say: "What kind of job do you have? Put a seal, print out the document, and that's it." 

There are cases when the client does not realize how much effort is invested in the notarial action, so they indicate that the cost of work is too high. You have to explain and defend your right to full payment.

But the most important stereotypical phrase that you often hear is "You're a lawyer, you know everything." For some reason, people think that the lawyer has some kind of magic pill that will help you instantly solve all your problems.

In my profession, although there is a well-established business dress code, I still try to mix it with my own preferences and style solutions. Of course, I don't break my back, so as not to shock people and not distract from work. Perhaps mentally someone criticizes me and thinks that I don't dress according to the rules. But, as for me, it is difficult to imagine a real lawyer without professionalism. Everything else is dust. 

I selected three looks for the photo exhibition. The first one consists of a jacket, blouse and trousers. I usually wear this set to a meeting, but I mix it with interesting accessories, because I don't like sleek, "dry" looks. With the second look - a mint-colored shirt decorated with a shoulder belt and black trousers - I can also go to work. I'm taking off my baseball cap, though. 

In the third set, I do rock climbing. By the way, I find relation between this sport and my profession. For example, during training, I am aware of certain things both in law and in my life. In the profession, when faced with some situations, I find solutions that can be applied in the mountains. 

It's not new collections that force me to update my wardrobe, but a race for an interesting outfit that should also be comfortable. For me, things lose their relevance after a year or two, but I am against redundancy. It's only worth buying when you really want to." 

Exhibition Fashion&Profession in Prospekt shopping mall will last until June 14.
