Theater and film actress Shorena Shonia-Radionova took part in the exhibition Fashion & Profession in Prospekt shopping mall, told about its sources of content and shared a professional life hack. 

"I did not dream of being an actress and did not think about this profession until, in the 3rd academic year, I got into a theater studio. It was there that I found something that I didn't find in other areas – the opportunity to work with my emotions, feelings, experiences and directly with myself. This profession is about finding yourself. 

When people find out who I work as, they often ask, "How do you learn so much text?". Although this is just the easiest thing in acting. 

I admire Meryl Streep, especially her performance in the movies "The Bridges of Madison County", "Kramer vs. Kramer", and "August: Osage County". Watching her work, you should learn how to work with the character and transform yourself. I am also impressed by Viola Davis, who seems to me a spiritually filled person. It will just suffice to mention her monologue in the movie "Fences"? As for me, a good actor in general should have more inner world than what they demonstrate from the outside. In the Ukrainian environment, this was the deceased Vitalii Linetskyi. 

My personal sources of content are books, films, reflections, and philosophical teachings. 

Whether on the theater stage or on the filming site, actors have to wear clothes of different styles, especially if the plot concerns a certain historical era. Therefore, thanks to my profession, I find it easier to choose an outfit. I don't care how fashionable my image is, because I choose clothes based on my inner feelings. When I need changes in my life, then, as a rule, the wardrobe also gets them: things that do not correspond to my updated "I", either are given to friends, or left in bags for those who will need them. Sometimes I give things a new life: some elements are cut off, and some are restyled. 

In our profession, clothing is still important, especially during auditions, when you need to create an image of a certain hero. For example, my character's outfit helps me understand her inner world. 

Shooting a movie is an opportunity to buy back the outfit you played in. It was in this way that I became the owner of a long green dress, which was worn by my character in the TV series "Translation is not needed". I chose this dress for the photo exhibition at Prospekt shopping mall because it reflects my love for baggy clothes that do not restrict movement. I can also use the classic style, but only if necessary. 

Another of my looks for the photo shoot is a warm yellow suit, which I appreciate for its comfort and mood. When I put it on, it immediately becomes sunny in my soul, especially in cloudy winter weather. By the way, I was looking for a long time for some yellow thing to add to my wardrobe. As for me, when people want clothes of a certain color, therefore, they lack what this color symbolizes or reflects. 

By analyzing the appearance of a person, you can assume who they works as, but this will probably apply to professions that are most overgrown with stereotypes. However, now is the time when a person dresses differently for different areas of their life. And that's great."

Exhibition Fashion&Profession in Prospekt shopping mall will last until June 14.
