Fashion&Profession in Prospekt shopping mall: Personal beliefs of Volodymyr Krasilovskyi
11-06-2021

Legal adviser Volodymyr Krasilovskyi became the hero of the Fashion&Profession project. He told Prospekt shopping mall why he chose this particular specialty, and admitted how many suits he has in his wardrobe.

"My love of law dates back to my childhood – it was then that I watched a number of American movies where lawyers were the main or secondary characters. I liked their confidence and how easily they set justice in difficult cases.
At the university, I headed student self-government, so I had to protect the rights of students and study the law of Ukraine "On higher education". Although I didn't have a law degree, I enjoyed working with documents. Then I realized that I needed to develop myself in law.
My current specialization is family law: divorce, recovery of alimony, deprivation of parental rights. However, a lawyer should not limit himself, so in the future I will deal with both corporate and criminal law.
Among Ukrainian lawyers, I am impressed by lawyer Andrii Tsyhankov, who specializes in criminal law, and Deputy Chairman of the National Bar Association of Ukraine Valentyn Hvozdii. I admire their professional self-control, fearlessness and willingness to take on difficult tasks. I also like lawyer Yevhen Solodko, who considers his profession as a way of life. I agree with him that the most important thing in law is to preserve humanity.
To be honest, I am also inspired by Harvey Specter, a character from the popular American TV series "Suits". Ambitious, charismatic, with a quick reaction. He appreciates the effect of the first impression, so he is responsible for his appearance, and for what he says and does.
For some reason, many people are convinced that a good lawyer is necessarily an elder person, and you can't expect competence from young people. In my opinion, first of all, you should pay attention to the experience of a specialist, and not to their age.
I don't provide services for free and expressly state that, but someone will still ask: "Is it so difficult for you to answer one question?". It isn't, but I want people to know that I spent the time and money to master this profession. Therefore, I do not offer ready-made solutions, I can only answer the general question in simple words.
"First you judge how nice, then you judge how wise" – I accidentally heard this phrase at the age of 17, but to this day it is significant for me. If you have a serious profession, then you should dress accordingly. Yes, a lawyer may come to a meeting in a T-shirt and jeans, this will not make him less competent, but he will not look serious and appropriate in the eyes of others.
Therefore, my "fashion verdict" is this: a good lawyer can not be imagined without a good suit, as well as without a notebook, a heavy expensive pen and a few codes. In my wardrobe, I keep 5 strict suits, the elements of which are constantly combined with each other to create different business images.
For the exhibition in Prospekt shopping mall, I picked up several looks. The first is a strict suit from Arber, the store where I shop most often. The second option is more casual, but still in my favorite classic style.
I am prompted to update my wardrobe not by trends, but by the fashion decisions of others. If I see something interesting from someone and I like it, I'll probably want to buy it for myself."
Fashion&Profession Exhibition will last in the shopping mall until June 14.
