Do girlfriends always know tastes of each other and does the older generation make mistakes by making young people presents? Weekend has listened to six stories of visitors of Prospekt shopping mall and found out whether it is good idea to present clothes, linen and shoes to your loved ones.

The KPI students Lena and Vadym buy each other things not only on occasion of holidays. Doesn’t matter what kind of gift it is - expensive shoes from a famous brand or just a pair of funny socks. The most important are attention and desire to bring pleasure.
- Of course, I enjoy getting things. It is especially cool if you get expensive brands that you can not afford buying. We are both students, we work and rent an apartment, so we can’t afford a lot of fashionable clothes. When I get a cool thing as a gift, I think: wow, it’s cool! And the reason is not that the gift is expensive, but because you understand that a person thinks about you, knows your tastes and desires. I also make presents to other people with pleasure. And I always like the presents I get. Perhaps, the most memorable gift I ever got - is my mom's gift - Winter Timberland boots, warm, comfortable and fashionable. These boots are not just sportive and high-quality, but very unusual. In this model red and white leather was combined, and they were winterized with white fur.
Vadym and I often go shopping together. Sometimes we buy each other things or make surprises, for example, he presents me underwear. We like all kinds of cool socks, so we buy them each other from time to time. It's easy to choose, because we already know quite well each other’s sizes and tastes. Recently, Vadym complained that all his backpacks for the city were shabby and didn’t look nice. Several times I pointed him on the street to men's backpacks of a steep brand. He liked them. Then I risked and bought Vadym this present. He says that he is very happy - the backpack is simultaneously stylish and comfortable enough.
If one of us dreams about a particular expensive thing, another tries to collect money and to present such thing as a gift on the occasion of a special holiday. For example, I'm going to buy Vadym for New Year classic black boots Dr. Martens, this is his favorite brand.
