How to make your hobby a profession at a master class in Prospekt Shopping Mall
04-04-2019

Anna Lohachova is a professional journalist, who has been working on TV for about 10 years. Once she realized that she was burnout. After that, she decided to change her field of activity, and turn her hobby into profession. “I went to study at a photo school, being sure that I would become a family and children's photographer. I shot people - emotions, moments, feelings, but I became more and more fascinated by objects. Everything started with flowering twigs; food appeared in a frame as a complement and atmosphere, but after a while it captured me completely.”
Anna has become a famous food blogger and held in Prospekt shopping mall the original master class “Try to become a food blogger” for an obvious reason. After all, the mix of cuisines and taste preferences at the food court of the shopping mall is a great opportunity to photograph various dishes, including colorful desserts, salads, meat, fish and side dishes.  Photos of food are always catchy.
“Women write me more often, women on a diet react to my photos especially emotional.
Post a piece of cake at 09.00 p.m. and you will understand everything .
Of course, men also like food. Someone asks for a recipe, someone on the contrary - shares his own one. Someone simply says, “it is impossible! The mouth is watered! ”Then I understand that this is the best feedback, and I took everything right,” Anna says. Although she never wanted to become a blogger, and even now she does not consider herself to be a blogger, mainly because of the responsibility. “I worked as a journalist, and I know very well what information is and how it can influence. Therefore, I do what I like - I photograph food.”
Success for Anna means a combination of harmony and happiness, and, in her opinion, you can find inspiration everywhere. “When I see a flower, I think of its intertwined roots or a bulb. When I see a vegetable, I think of a pattern on its cut. When I see a cookie in front of me, I want to break it quickly and to admire small crumbs. After I started to make food photos, I feel the season: pumpkin cake in fall, hot chocolate in winter, green peas in spring and watermelon in summer. Inspiration for me is the ability to see and to notice,” Anna shares.
Being a girl, she likes shopping, but in her own way, “I can go shopping planning to buy shoes or a dress, but come back with cups, spoons and the eighth linen napkin more beige than the previous seven. In these situations, I feel absolutely happy.

5 life hacks about effective food-photo from Anna Lohachova:
1.    Make sure that the product in the frame is fresh. Sprinkle vegetables, fruits, greenery with water, lubricate weathered parts with oil.
2.    Choose simple, neutral dishes and textiles. Prefer matte dishes. Take care of cleanliness - fingerprints, fibers from clothes, accidental splashes on a plate - check before shooting whether something of these is present.
3.    Find the brightest place in your apartment - a window or a balcony. Cloudy weather with diffused and soft light is ideal for shooting. However, summer with its’ bright sun is coming, so think about a light diffuser - at home it may be a white sheet. Cover your window with a white sheet, and it will soften the sunlight. Make sure that there are no accessory colors — for example, colors from walls, curtains, or even from your clothes.
4.    When choosing dishes for food-filming, do not try to shoot objects with extravagant shape, color and texture. Start with shooting fruit and vegetables. Other worthwhile objects are - desserts and pastries - croissants, éclairs, macaroons, muffins. As for the objects that melt, flow and are poured with sauce, I would advise to wait.
5.    The most important life hack is to shoot! Photograph every day! Change the shooting point, the composition, make experiments with lighting – if the first photo was taken to the right of the window, take the second one opposite the window, and within a month you will begin to feel the light and the composition.
“Attracting of an external expert on blogging to our food court is like an illustrative test drive, which gives you an opportunity to master new skills in food photography and understand how open your audience is, whether it is ready to participate and share in social networks. The personality of a blogger is always a broader topic. In this case, everyone wanted to know how one can give up journalism and switch to a photograph. Having seen Anna’s skill and responsibility level, I want to follow the mission - to enjoy life, to live a “tasty” life and share beauty on a plate before eating. After all, food really creates a mood that can be transmitted through Facebook or Instagram,” Olena Obukhivska, PR manager of Prospekt Shopping Mall, where interesting events often take place, summarizes.
