Special photos from Instagram - flat-lays - are called still-lives of the 21st century. At the master class of instabloger Alina Chubar at Prospekt shopping mall, Weekend tried to understand what layout is, why we need a grid in a camera, how accessories and backgrounds for holiday photos can be collected and which stores may become real décor Klondikes for flat-lay beginners.
Marina talks about the experience:
“I really like beautiful InstaFoto, and now, I certainly want to learn how to create them by myself. I was attracted by profile of Alina, who conducts the master class, and I decided not to miss this opportunity. I really like these photo layouts, I have a lot of suitable trifles at home and I want to shake my Instagram page with nice photos. I make my posts irregularly, sometimes many and sometimes few.
During the master class I liked everything: it was very informative, rhythmical, a lot of information was given in a short time, because sometimes it is difficult to spend half a day to learn something new. I am happy that I’ve made my first flat-lay, already having some knowledge, it was not like leaving everything to take a picture. It seems to me, my flat-lay looks really nice! I am sure that everything that I’ve heard and learned today I’ll use in the future.”
The seventh rule by Alina Chubar is about the plot.
«Creating a layout, think over the plot. For example, if I use dried flowers, I make nine shots with dried flowers. Making New Year flat-lays, I will make different kinds of layouts, but a common detail, a common thread for the series of my shots will be a fir branch.»
Three more rules for creating flatlays by Alina Chubar read in the Prospekt’s following news.
