Dmytro Bikmaev was born in Crimea where he got higher education with major in “Finance and Credit”. After finishing the Master's program, he became a freelancer. Today Dmytro notes, “I didn’t have a special love for sports and yoga. Since childhood, for me it was rather a necessity. My mother and my uncle sent me to taekwondo section so that I could defend myself on the street, because I grew up in the rough part of the city, and since I was a withdrawn child, I had to know how to defend myself. So from my early childhood one need for sports transferred into another.”
During “Myxology of Trainings” at Prospekt shopping mall, he impressed the guests and the participants with his intellect and “scientific” approach which combined biomechanics and fitness. Dmytro comments on his experience, “In fact, fitness is based on biomechanics. If biomechanical laws are violated, our body suffers. We must understand that the lack of knowledge about organization of the body can aggravate our problems. For example, because of my desire to become stronger, faster and better, I spoiled my health, I had problems with my back, but if I stop training at all, the doctors say, I’m likely to become a disabled person or to die. That’s why, it is better to work with people who knows the basic sciences: biochemistry, biomechanics, physics and neuroscience. If your coach cannot answer the basic questions about protein synthesis in the body, such coach is not to be trusted.”
Dmytro also practices “blind yoga” which gives him a chance to feel his body better and control all the processes. During such practice, maximum energy and concentration are used for performing asanas. The pain threshold is another peculiarity. The point is that the ability to arrest pain in the body stimulates brain not to respond to physiological stimuli, including external ones. The pain threshold strengthens the nervous system and the body becomes more resistant to stimuli. An additional factor is the strengthening of the anterior part of the cerebral cortex responsible for emotional stability. Therefore, any practice on the point of discomfort with increased concentration is the key to physical and psychological health.
Dmytro openly declares that he does not work with lazy students, “If they do not care about their health, they’ve made their choice. I just give methods and means and everyone decides for himself/herself whether he/she needs it. I do not force anyone to do exercises. Everyone is free to decide for himself/herself how to live. I’ve learnt this lesson from my mentor whose indifference to the students became a motivator. Only due to his indifference and ability to give knowledge I achieved such a level and I keep on developing.”
The main Dmytro’s rule is simple, “We are free to do anything, but without causing damage to those around us. We are free within the limits of our choice, but each our choice is a responsibility, for which we will pay later.”
Shopping for Dmytro is a boring waste of time. If he needs to buy something, then he does it purposefully and quickly. Dmytro wishes the visitors of Prospekt shopping mall want to be conscious, psychologically and physically healthy.
